Whooping Cough

2 oz. Marshmallow Root
2 oz Thyme
2 pounds Yellow D sugar (or 1lb honey)
1 quart Distilled water
Preparation:
Simmer herbs slowly, while covered, down to 1 pint, strain, press and return liquid to a clean pot. Add sugar or honey, bring to a simmer and simmer for 5 minutes (skimming as necessary), Cool, bottle and keep in a cool place.
Dosage: 1 Tablespoon ever 2-3 hours; children 1-3 teaspoons according to age.
Administration: Feed the child juices, especially pineapple and keep off starchy, greasy, and mucous-forming foods. Improve the diet to accelerate healing.
